HL7 Soup licence agreement

HL7 Soup is licensed by Popokey Ltd., New Zealand. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.

Your licence

You may use HL7 Soup within the scope of your licence. An individual licence covers one user. Site, educational, enterprise, and included licences cover the users, locations, and installations specified in your purchase or qualifying product agreement. Those specific terms take priority over these general terms.

Trial, term, and renewal

A trial lasts 30 days from activation. A paid licence lasts for the purchased term. Renewal is optional. When your entitlement expires, the software stops working until a valid licence is activated. This agreement does not authorise automatic renewal or charges; any recurring billing must be agreed separately when purchasing. Earlier products remain subject to their original agreements.

Your data

Your messages and documents are processed on your computer or your organisation’s server. Popokey does not collect or inspect their contents, send them to third parties, or use them to train AI models. Connections you configure send data to the recipients you choose. Licence checks communicate with our licensing service separately from message content. Files you choose to send to support are a separate disclosure.

Using the software

Keep your licence key secure and share it only within its authorised scope. We may disable publicly disclosed or misused keys. Popokey retains ownership of the software and documentation. Do not redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble them, except where applicable law permits it.

You are responsible for backups, access controls, and checking results before relying on them. HL7 Soup does not replace professional or clinical judgement.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the software is provided “as is”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, Popokey and its suppliers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, business interruption, or lost information arising from use of, or inability to use, the software. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending the licence

We may terminate your licence for a material breach by notifying you. When your entitlement ends, stop using the software unless another valid licence applies. Your documents and data remain yours.

Governing law

New Zealand law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you.
